Fashion Illustration Week 10

Well, people usually say, "oh fix it with photoshop" "edit with photoshop". But let us think a while first. Is that that easy like they just mention? Or can they make it happen within a short period of time as the way they talk? Actually, drawing with photoshop is as hard as drawing with any other tools. What tools you use to accomplish one art piece is not the matter of fact. Time, effort, theories and details are the main factors which give a higher value for every single artworks. You cannot be a materialistic, here. See art as art. Feel it. They will talk to you.

So, basically, the drawings that I am going to show you guys today is everything drawn by using adobe photoshop cs5 by using a wacom pen. Can you see how awesome they are with all the light and darkness, tones, shading? Well, I am speechless. Do you see the eyes? Yeah, they are speaking to us, telling us about themselves without any words.

This illustration looks so cool, right? Very precise and so many detail. This really did inspire me a lot for my other fashion illustration project.

Fashion Illustration Week 8

Fashion illustration is not only about drawing in markers or watercolor. Actually, we can use any sorts of media that we want to make our choice of theme stands out more. These drawings were drawn by mixed media which were in markers and ink wash which is really interesting and unique. And some more, the artist only used the grey tone which sound very boring yet, I believe, these drawings have proven us its not boring at all.

Fashion Illustration Week 7

Fashion sketches, drawn mainly with color pencils with only a slight soft touch of water color seems very soft and luxurious. These nude colored tone illustrations gave me this feminine aspect which matches with its dressing and the theme. And I think, the artist did a great job in detailing and color pickings. 

Fashion Illustration Week 6

Can you see a pink head girl in the leopard prints going to a party? Can you see a girl with the dramatic skirt, enjoying the wind? Can you see a girl with a long sleeve warm jacket walking on the street, feeling cold? Well, I do and I could feel the moments. Moments in each particular illustration. Aren't they so nice? Everything is drawn without a sketch or a single outline. It's mainly a rough sketch drawing but a very neat and strong illustration with full expressions which really impressed me a lot.

Fashion Illustration Week 5

These illustrations are done simply by the lines, circles and triangle and primary colors but still look very different from others. Its simplicity represents the uniqueness in each art pieces. And I personally feel admirable how the artist gives  direct messages to the viewer and gets his/her attention. Its a superb.

Fashion Illustration Week 4

I was very inspired by these illustrations since from the first sight. They are really amazing. Fashion illustration with hair details? Well, I have never seen before. I feel lucky to have found it. They are just so dramatic, feminine, full with emotions, edgy and representative. I should make good use of this inspiration in my upcoming works.

Fashion Illustration Week 3

I wonder how you see this sketch when you first saw it. As for me, I see the wild tornado, I see diamonds bling-bling, I also see the strong and straight-forward attitude of the artist who created this for Lady Ga Ga. Yeah, this illustration might seem way too sketchy and random but it is very subtle, detail and so expressive. It was just a wow to me. 

This is also another sketchy one. You might think the white section of the garments are the lightings which is not just it. There are actually the detail of the prints and the patterns of each fabric which I think is very interesting.

Do you see a printed dress hanging on the hanger? Don't you think its so cool? I think its very creative and there even got the designer's name which is YSL and a quote of his.

Fashion Illustration Week 2

Fashion is all about edginess. Strong runway walk, long legs, elegance and confidence are so crucial in fashion world.

The fantasy and the glamour of the couture world. I believe, everyone knows what does Haute Couture means. Basically haute in french is high, couture in dressmaking or fashion. So, its known as high fashion that we have been talking about in the industry of fashion.

Even though, the sketches seem so rough and untidy, they got so much details in them when you look very carefully. The color tones applied in these illustrations are very impressive. Like I said before during last week blog, illustration is all about the way to express yourselves and that is why every sketches stand out really well with its own style and personality.

Fashion Illustration Week 1

Fashion illustration, to me is strong, personal, inspiring, expressive, confidence and motivational. It tells the story very well by all the sketches, either rough or smooth, by all the colors, warm nor cool depending on the artist's expression and mood at that very moment. That is why, I believe, every art pieces has meanings and personal values which stands out very well and original to each artists.

As for the illustration below,  you can see clearly that, there is no rules in illustration. You can create your model very skinny, to have long neck, hands, legs, and small faces. It does not matter. Because, there is no right or wrong and fashion illustration is more about expressing yourself and making it so personal and original. That's why, I think, it is very expressive in a way.

 

Next illustrations are about the details in fashion illustration. Some artists focus mainly on clothing but some focus mainly on figure and some focus on both. It actually depends on individuals though. As for me, I think, I do focus on everything as detail does matter to me a lot.

As for these two illustrations, they are more precise, detail and focus on both figure and dressing. I think every piece is amazing with their individual styles.
